Privacy policy

Last updated 14 October 2026

How this website handles your information: what it collects, why, who else sees it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

This website presents Sockit, a product of Ziliconcloud LLC (“we”, “us”), which works with its Indian affiliate, Ziliconcloud Private Limited. Ziliconcloud LLC decides how the information described here is used.

This policy covers this website only. The Sockit demo console, which opens when you choose View demo, is a separate application.

What we collect

  • Contact requests. When you send the contact form, we receive what you enter: your name, work email, company, how many computers Sockit would run on and, if you add them, your directory and a message. We use it to reply to you and to arrange a walkthrough. The form delivers it to our team's Microsoft Teams channel, so Microsoft processes it for us.
  • Analytics, only if you accept. Google Analytics then records how the site is used: the pages you view, how you arrived (for example from a search engine or a link), roughly where you are (country and city, worked out by Google from your connection), your device and browser, how far you scroll, clicks on links to other sites, and that a contact request was sent, never what it said. Google Analytics does not store your IP address. Until you accept, nothing from Google loads.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our web server keeps standard request logs: the IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser's description. We use them to keep the site working and secure.
  • Choices kept in your browser. The site remembers your cookie choice and whether you closed the announcement bar, in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us.

We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell your information. Apart from Google Analytics after you accept, the pages load nothing from other services: the fonts and images come from our own server.

Cookies

The site sets cookies only if you accept analytics cookies in the banner. These are the only ones:

CookieSet byWhat it is forLasts
_gaGoogle AnalyticsTells visits from the same browser apart2 years
_ga_12P21LQW87Google AnalyticsKeeps track of the current visit2 years

To change your choice at any time, use Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Declining after you have accepted removes these cookies. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services on this page, and offers a browser add-on that turns off Google Analytics on every site.

Why we may use it

  • Analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Contact requests: to answer you, and to take the steps you ask for before any agreement with us.
  • Server logs: our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure.

Who else sees it

These organisations handle information for us, only for the purposes above, and may do so outside your country, including in the United States and India:

  • Ziliconcloud Private Limited, our affiliate in India, which works with us on Sockit and helps answer contact requests.
  • Google, for Google Analytics, if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Microsoft, for the Teams channel that receives contact requests.
  • Our hosting provider, for the server this website runs on.

How long we keep it

  • Contact requests: for as long as we need them to reply and to follow up our conversation with you, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • Analytics: 14 months, after which Google deletes the detailed data.
  • Server logs: only as long as we need them to run and secure the site.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, for example under the EU or UK GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it or delete it, and object to how we use it. You can withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email info@ziliconcloud.com or write to us through the contact page. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority.

Children

This website is for businesses and is not meant for children.
